Technical assistance results in Costa Rica

  • Elaboration and delivery of the Program of Forests and Rural Development and its action plan for the National System of Conservation Areas. This contributed to the formulation of a Presidential Decree, which is under legal evaluation by the Secretary of the Presidency prior its signature.
  • Support is being provided for the formulation of the National Strategy for Landscape Rehabilitation in Costa Rica
  • Work is underway to prepare the "Forest Extension Manual for Restoration"
  • Advice the Ministry of the Environment and Energy of Costa Rica (MINAE) on the formulation of a ministerial directive on gender and biodiversity

  • Restoration of Productive Landscape in Huetar Region of Costa Rica to Increase Resilience to Climate Change and Improve Ecosystem Connectivity
  • Formulation and Implementation of NAMA Livestock Farm Plans in Puriscal and Turrubares, Oriented at Restoring Ecosystem Services at Landscape Level
